Step
Instructions

Please Note: Caution needs to be used when working with electricity and electrical motors.
All steps are done while the fan is UNPLUGGED. Minors should not attempt this project.

Step 1:
Remove the front and back protective grill. I recommend that you saw off most of the axle

Step 2:
Attach the wig head firmly to the motor head. I recommend duct tape.
Step 3:
Insert a dowel through the neck. These will create shoulders and support for the costume. Black out the mouth and eye areas of the wig head.
Step 4:
Add the mask. Be aware that masks with long hair run the risk of getting wrapped up onto the blade axle so be sure to keep hair and loose costume elements like ties away from the axle so there will be no snagging.
Step 5:
Roll up some newspaper and insert over the dowel. Pinch the ends and tape to dowel. This will add some body to the shoulders.
Step 6:
Now add the costume (I added some teeth at this stage) Be certain to keep everything light weight, the fan has a limited load baring capability.
Step 7: IMPORTANT
Be sure to keep the air intake exposed because if you cover it up, the motor will over heat and becomes a fire hazard. Be sure nothing can get sucked into the intake.
Step 8:
Find some spooky eyes online (I use http://images.google.com ), save them to a folder, edit, print, and cut them out according to your size requirements.
Step 9:
Insert the paper eyes. Discretely use straight pins to hold the paper eyes in place.

Step 10:
Add some costume hands and anything else you can imagine. Layer with tattered cheese cloth to mask fan stand
and there you have your Monster Animatronic.

Check your display (s) regularly to be sure it is not over heating or that it has jammed up. And be sure it is out of reach of the trick or treaters. Do not use outdoors in the rain or snow!
