HALLOWEEN TREATS
The reward for most children (and
some adults) on Halloween night is adventuring into
the darkness in pursuit of Sweet Treats! Here you will
find some fun suggestions on how to enhance the "Treat"
giving Experience.
Many grown-ups are turning to candy-less
treats for the ghouls, ghosts and goblins knocking on
their door.
With growing concerns about the
tampering of candy and fruit, not to mention the nutritional
detriments of traditional Halloween treats, more and
more adults are giving alternatives to the little ghouls
and goblins.
Here are a few candy alternative
suggestions:
Coins
Novelty
Trinkets (Bazaar & Novelty and
Dollar Stores)
Juice
Boxes
Little
Raisin Boxes
Pencils,
Pens, Erasers
Stickers
AVOID HANDING
OUT UNWRAPPED CANDY, WHOLE FRUIT, OR HOME MADE GOODS
as these items will mostly be thrown in the garbage
Fun Fact: The popularity
of Halloween is simply astounding! More candy is sold
than on Valentine's Day and more parties held than on
New Year's Eve. Two-thirds of all grown-ups will celebrate
Halloween and half of them will spend more than $100
doing so. Consumers will send each other 28 million
Halloween cards.
